Welcome to Megaboom!
Each week four L.A. based comedians sit down in a spider filled garage in Korean filled Korea-town to record themselves talking. It’s a little ego-centric but people seem to like it. Current events, pop culture, the best burrito in LA, anything can turn up thanks to our diverse cast of mostly white semi-employed people. Unlike most comedy podcasts though, ours is not only a group of guys and a mic, it is also a group of guys AND A GIRL and a mic. How do you like that Susan B. anachronistic currency Anthony!
Produced by new-media juggernaut Mike Cioffi, of Adam Carolla Podcast fame, we hope to one day recoup our operating costs. If you have a good handle on reality give us try, we’ll break you.
In the last two years I have been a chess instructor, a door to door cable tv salesman, an SAT tutor, a night security guard at a bookstore, a furniture mover with the distinction (unique to the truck) of not having spent time in prison, a Compton billboard inspector, and a writer for a Mtv comedy show, now canceled and replaced with ‘Daddy’s Little Girls.’ For a while I lived on a bus. Now I get burritos for more famous people and host a weekly podcast featuring some of the folks I have met along the way.
CREDITS: Noah graduated from Dartmouth College, played the part of “gay extra” in How I met your mother, cleaned the pee of Slayer fans off the fence outside a major network talk show and has watched his name gradually move up the credits for the last 3 years. He’s currently half way up.
You may remember her from memorable featured background appearances in such films as Walk Hard andOcean’s 13. She has gone on to star in her own death on Spike tv’s 1000 Ways to Die and was felt up in the coming-of-age tale, Dirty Magazines. For her birthday, she wished she could talk to boys. Dreams do come true.
Lars is a comedy guy. If you haven’t seen his stand up, you’ve probably seen him skipping through traffic at 3AM with a giant car dealership balloon tied to his wrist. When not detained by law, Lars writes for shows like Canada’s “Bob & Doug” and America’s “Popzilla”. “All that’s left is a Mexican show,” says Lars, “then it’s easy street courtesy of the ‘writer’s trifecta’.” When asked to explain, Lars ran into the forest. He lives with his girlfriend, Liz, and their cats, Omelet and Detective Larry McBoob.
Our producer and bearded Buddha. Measured in number of stalkers, Cioffi is the most famous member of the team. Check out his other work producing the Adam Carolla Podcast and the Greg Fitzsimmons Experience. Those shows are hugely successful, we are hoping it will rub off.
He’s the head writer at the Improv Olympic’s famed “Top Story Weekly” and a Hollywood man about town. If you are famous, you know Matt Blitz. Join him for his celebrity round-up, “Hollywood Blitz” segment whenever he breaks into the Megaboom!! studio.
Patrick is a sketch writer and performer at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in Los Angeles and the handsome half of The Butler Baker Country Club. He is also our resident expert on the South and famous dead virgins.
Danny Ricker and Adam Fisher are two writer/performers from Orange County, California. They can be seen performing their two-man sketch show “Wunna Weeks” around Los Angeles and would love to make your acquaintance as long as you’re not one of those “internet predators” they keep hearing about.
You can get show info and see their digital cornucopia of internet sketches atwww.wunnaweeks.com
